Avec les câbles HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), les pertes lors des transfert d'électricité sont inférieures à 3% pour 1000km. 4000 miles c'est...6437 kilomètres (20% de perte sur cette distance). Ou encore Paris-New-Delhi (Inde) ! Une centrale solaire au Pakistan ou en Inde peut alimenter en électricité Paris pendant la nuit...
